Meet Drake: The Sweetest Little Velcro Pup Waiting for You!
Hello, Wichita Falls! Looking for a puppy who will become your ultimate cuddle buddy? Meet Drake, an adorable 8-week-old male pup of unknown breed (we estimate he’ll grow into a smaller medium-sized adult). This precious boy was found abandoned in a box at a church with his brother Josh, but he’s already bouncing back in his foster home, showing the world just how much love he has to give.
Drake is affectionate and shy at first, but once he warms up, he’s playful with a moderate energy level and the biggest heart of gold. He’s a total softie who lives for cuddles, being held, and just being close to his person—car rides? He insists on lap privileges! His favorite things are snuggling up and feeling safe with you. With his freckled pink-and-black nose, little white socks on his paws, and a white-tipped tail, he’s got that extra dose of cuteness that will make you smile every day.
He’s crate-trained, doing well when left alone in his kennel (with no issues), and working on house-training and leash skills (no commands yet, but he’s a quick learner). He’s a bit clingy and timid in new situations or with new people, so he takes time to adjust—but patience pays off big with this sweetheart. Once comfortable, he’s all play and affection. His routine is simple: eats three times a day, crated while foster mom works, and out for play and potty when she’s home. No dietary needs, health issues, allergies, or medications—he’s a healthy pup who’ll get his full shots and microchip next week (too young for neutering yet).
Drake gets along great with other dogs (mostly experienced smaller ones), cats, and shows no reaction to small animals. He’s wonderful with kids (down to age 5) and comfortable with both men and women. He’s been living in a home environment for a week and would do well in an apartment or house—as long as his family gives him time to settle in at his own pace.
This gentle boy would thrive in a calm, understanding home where someone has experience with shy puppies who need a little extra time to bloom. First-time owners are welcome if you’re ready for puppy energy and building trust—he’ll reward you with endless loyalty and snuggles! All he needs is love, patience, and a cozy spot on your lap. He comes with a bag of his current food to help with the transition.
Ready to give Drake the patient, loving forever home he deserves? Apply today through Texas Pit Crew at https://www.texaspitcrew.org/adoption-application. Adoption fee is $165 with a $75 deposit (refundable upon neutering). This velcro pup is waiting to steal your heart—don’t let him wait too long!

Additional adoption info
The adoption process:
Step 1: Complete the Adoption Application. You can request an adoption application via email. Once complete the form can be emailed back for review. You can always pick a adoption application at any of our events.
Step 2: We will review completed applications, do reference and fence checks, as well as a home visit, if needed. Please remember that adopting a pup is making a commitment of 10-15 years, so we do not take any shortcuts in processing applications. It is our responsibility to place these pups in the very best homes we can possibly find for them.
Step 3: When your Adoption Application is approved, we will schedule a time for you to meet the pup that just might be the newest member of your family.
***Please remember that we are an all-volunteer, foster based rescue organization. We do not have a public shelter facility, so all meetings for potential adopters and fosters are done by appointment only. ***
Step 4: After the meeting, if everything seems to be a perfect match, the final step is the signing of the Adoption Contract, payment of the $165 adoption fee and $75 deposit, which makes it $240 (if the animal is not spayed or neutered yet), and taking your new family member home. You will get your deposit back when their 6 months old and altered.

More about this rescue
We are a non-profit volunteer ran organization dedicated to eradicating animal cruelty to all breeds in Wichita and surrounding counties. While we will help any animal in need that we can, we seek to promote the bully breed as the loving and loyal animals they are. All our animals are in private foster homes of caring volunteers. Our animals come to us under many different circumstances. They may be from an accidental or unwanted litter, the one abandoned at a shelter, the one that "got too big", the one sitting on the side of the road waiting for the owner, the one that escaped their chain, the irresponsible result of a breeder, the one left behind when the owners moved, or the one beat and left for dead. The list could go on. We hold adoption events throughout the year and during the colder months we hit the streets looking for neglected and/or dogs in need. We hand out cold weather supplies and educate owners about community resources that are available and proper dog ownership.
