Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet ADDIE:
Affectionate Addie is a beautiful medium sized senior dog that melts in your arms and enjoys a good butt scratch. She may be "middle aged, but don't tell her that. She's very athletic with a fun side to her and loves to play fetch and do the zoomies. She's a favorite with the volunteers at the shelter.
What Addie has to say about being the perfect dog for you:
"Since you're reading this, you must be looking for a new best friend - and, hey so am I! I was a little shy when I arrived at the shelter, but now I'm realizing how many people love me and give me attention. That's great, but I really want my very own best human friend that I can play with, take walks and play ball. And when we're not being active, I would love to lean into you and get lots of hugs and kisses. Please come see me at the shelter and let's talk about how we can start our new friendship.
Addie is housebroken and will be a wonderful loyal companion.

The AWL is here to find the best match possible between adopters and the animals in our care. Keep in mind that a pet’s personality is way more important, and it’s best to try to find a pet that will fit into your lifestyle.

More about this shelter
The Animal Welfare League is a non-profit organization committed to advocating for animal protection and welfare. We are based in Port Charlotte, Florida. Since 1963 our shelter has served the Charlotte County community by providing a temporary home, medical service and caring attention for many dogs, cats and other animals. These animals come to us as strays, pets given up by their owners, unfortunate animals rescued from abuse and neglect, or simply lost pets in need of being re-united with their families.
