My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet John Legend - a TRUE legend in the making. If charisma had four legs and a permanently-wagging tail, it would be John Legend. This handsome heart throb is overflowing with love, charm and joyful energy. He's the kind of dog who believes everyone is his best friend and greets the world with a happy bounce and a heart full of sweetness.

John Legend is playful, affectionate, and endlessly friendly - always ready for a game, a cuddle, or simply to follow you around making your day brighter. His goofy personality and gentle nature make him a delight to be around, whether he's zooming around the yard or soaking up love at your side.

If you're looking for a dog who will fill your home with laughter, warmth, and unconditional love, John Legend is ready to steal the spotlight in your life.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1941 by the third female graduate from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, SAVE is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit animal shelter dedicated to protecting the health and welfare of homeless companion animals in the greater Princeton area and beyond. Through six core programs of Rescue, Shelter, Health and Welfare, Spay/Neuter, Foster and Adoption.

The SAVE shelter facility has the capacity to house upwards of 100 animals at a time (approximately 75 cats and 25 dogs). The shelter exceeds no-kill benchmark standards and ensures that adoptable animals facing adversity are given a lifeline, a chance to flourish, and the promise of a better tomorrow.
