Harrison Ford is a 5.5-month-old, 40 lb, neutered male Pitbull mix (DOB 5/23/25), expected to be a large adult once fully grown. He is being fostered in the same Houston home where he was born and can transport to the Petfinder-listed city once an adopter has completed our screening process, virtual home visit, and reference checks.
Handsome, expressive, and undeniably dapper — just look at him in his little Christmas collar! Harrison Ford is a charming, warm-hearted puppy with a sweet and gentle spirit. He loves spending time with his siblings, exploring the yard, and being close to his people. While he can be nervous at first, he warms up quickly with soft reassurance and soon shows his affectionate, social personality.
Harrison hasn’t been around children yet, but we expect he will do well with kids who understand and respect a dog’s boundaries.
We have no history with cats.
Harrison is doing great for his age — he’s been introduced to a crate, is progressing well with potty training, and is settling into a dependable routine. He is not yet leash trained, so his new family should be ready to gently guide him as he learns about walks, harnesses, and exploring the world. With consistency, positive reinforcement, and patience, he’ll continue blossoming into a confident, well-adjusted dog.
Because he is still young, we’re looking for a home where someone is home more often than away — puppies thrive on companionship, structure, and steady engagement. He enjoys the company of other dogs and feels comforted by having canine friends around.
