My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Zoey!

Zoey is a very energetic and curious pup, she would love an active home where she goes on lots of runs and hikes, she is very agile and will need a secure yard in her future home. Zoey has some signs of anxiety, she would do best in a calm home that has no children and where she has lots to do to keep her mind busy, someone who could stay with her most of the day would be ideal. When she is first meeting someone, Zoey can be a bit nervous, but after a few minutes she warms up and becomes very loving and snuggly.

More about this shelter

Our shelter had it's beginnings in the mid 90's and formally became a nonprofit organization in 2001. The dream of Lee and Sophia DiClemente has grown to be the largest no-kill animal shelter in New Mexico. Lee passed in 2010, but Sophia carries on with the support of a small staff, a large number of volunteers, and numerous donors - large and small.
