My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Berlin – your loyal companion

Looking for a loyal companion with a big heart? Make a date to meet Berlin when he arrives in New Jersey on December 21. Berlin is a handsome 65-lb German Shepherd mix who’s ready to find his forever home.

Berlin is an adult male dog with a calm, steady personality and a loving nature. He does especially well with children, making him a wonderful addition to a family looking for a dependable and gentle canine friend. True to his shepherd roots, Berlin is attentive, intelligent, and eager to bond with his people.

Whether it’s going for walks, relaxing at home, or keeping a watchful eye on his family, Berlin is happiest when he’s by your side. He’s ready to offer loyalty, companionship, and plenty of love in return for a place to call home.

More about this rescue

Peace4paws is a 501 (c) 3 non profit public charity centered in Northern New Jersey. Through our foster home system, we are able to support the rehoming and adoption of dogs from kill shelters as well as facilities of research and related fields. Founded in 2007, our initial mission focused on supporting sanctuary and forever homes for animals retired from use in research and related fields. In the past few years we have broadened our scope of rescue. We continue to help our own retired research animals and independent sanctuaries but also save shelter dogs. We are able to do this work through the efforts of our volunteer network and generous donors. Please see our website or facebook page "Peace4Paws" to meet our adoptable dogs, success stories or volunteer opportunities. We organize fundraising events centered around yoga, music, health, or animal friendly activities. We are also involved with student outreach and education. We would love to work with you.
