My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pedro is a loving boy who is still building confidence. He adores people and responds when called and is eager to do the right thing. Pedro is playful, affectionate, and enjoys running around the yard with happy zoomies. Pedro is people-focused, enjoys being petted, and responds very positively to verbal praise. He is attentive and seeks reassurance from his handler. He walks on a leash and listens to his name, though he may pull at times and benefit from continued leash training. He takes treats gently and is treat-motivated, which will be helpful for ongoing training.

He shows assertive behavior at the fence with other dogs. In the foster home Pedro chased cats but exhibited good recall. He may be his most happiest self not sharing his people with other pets. Pedro is listed in the 2–6 year age range and weighs 53 lbs. He will do best in a home that offers patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement (he thrives on praise) to help him continue gaining confidence. Come meet him at Citrus County Animal Services!
