My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Edith, a gentle soul with soulful eyes who is looking for a quiet place to bloom. A sweet, shy girl by nature, Edith finds the fast-paced energy of the world a bit overwhelming and is searching for a calm sanctuary to call her own. While she may take a moment to tuck her head into your hand, once she feels safe, her devotion is limitless. Because she prefers a serene environment, Edith is looking for an adult-only home where she can be the center of your world. In the right peaceful setting, her true personality shines through—revealing a tender, loyal companion who just wants to soak up all the love you have to give.

Come meet Edith at the Cove Lifesaving Center! Also, please fill out a no obligation application by selecting apply for adoption and our counselors will reach out to you soon!

More about this rescue

A New Leash on Life has a goal of saving all the adoptable pets about to die in the municipal shelters of Alabama until we become a NO KILL state. We rescue, provide veterinary care, provide a foster home or adoption center spot, and find adopters who are good matches for homeless dogs and cats...AND horses, pigs, rabbits, and any other animal who needs our help. All animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, testing (HW for dogs, FIV/Felv for cats), and whatever else they need before adoption.
