Meet Myra (#32414)

Myra is a high-energy, happy-go-lucky girl who’s always ready for her next adventure! Found as a stray, she hasn’t let her past slow her down one bit — she lives life full speed and with a wagging tail.

This sweet, wiggly girl loves to run and play and will happily keep you moving. Fair warning: Myra believes personal space is optional 😄 Be careful where you step — she will be standing right in front of you… every time. She’s learning that humans need a little room to walk!

Myra is still working on her leash manners and could use some help learning spatial awareness, but with consistency and love, she’ll shine. What she lacks in polish, she more than makes up for in affection and enthusiasm.

If you’re looking for an active companion with a big heart and an even bigger personality, Myra may be your perfect match 💕🐕

Meet and greets with your family dog and shelter dog is encouraged. Dog and cat meet and greets are not allowed.

$80 for all kitten/cat adoptions. $90 for all puppy/dog adoptions. $35 for all rabbit adoptions.

Additional adoption info

The shelter is open to the public Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with adoptions closing at 4:30pm. The shelter is closed on Sundays and all government observed holidays.

City of Henderson Animal Care and Control is the only open admission animal shelter in the City of Henderson. We service the City of Henderson and the residents and animals within city limits. Our goal is to find forever homes for all adoptable animals and reunite pets with their people. We work with multiple rescue groups and allow any good adoptee to adopt from our shelter.
