Jolly is a 1-year-old female terrier mix with a beautifully unique look—her long body, floppy ears, and striking black-and-white spotted coat make her truly one of a kind. But it’s her heart that really shines.
Before anything else, Jolly is looking for her person. She’s a gentle soul who wants to know what it feels like to belong and to be loved. Even when she’s feeling nervous in new situations or around new people, she remains incredibly sweet. With a little patience and kindness, Jolly blossoms into the most devoted companion—once she trusts you, she becomes your little shadow.
Jolly adores affection and seeks it out whenever she can. She’ll happily crawl into your lap for pets, lean in close, and sprinkle in sweet kisses. This girl gives just as much love as she receives and then some. She can be a bit reserved at first, but watching her come out of her shell is incredibly rewarding.
She’s still learning how to play with other dogs, but she has the right idea—gently batting at them with her paws to invite engagement. Jolly does well with dogs of all sizes, though she plays best with pups closer to her own size. She also does well with cats and kids.
Jolly is potty-trained, crate-trained, quiet in her kennel, and has her basic manners down. She would thrive in a calmer home with someone willing to give her the time and patience she needs to fully feel safe and loved. In return, you’ll gain the sweetest, gentlest companion you could ever ask for—one who will love you with her whole heart.

More about this shelter
We are a non-profit organization out of Monticello, IA specializing in the care for dogs and cats that need us. Our care does not stay local, as we take transports from all over the United States, and adopt all over as well!
Our mission's primary focus is to help reduce the homeless pet population by finding homes for spayed/neutered pets, and helping educate WHY this process is so important, and the proper way to care for pets!
