My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🎨 Meet Van Gogh! 🐾

Van Gogh is a 1½-year-old red brindle Boston Terrier who is truly a little masterpiece. Weighing in at 20 pounds, this sweet boy is full of love, personality, and charm.

Van Gogh does well with most dogs and loves to play, but he would do best in a home without a dominant male dog. What he really loves most, though, is people! He’s the kind of pup who’s always by your side, happily trotting over to shower you with kisses and affection.

If you’re looking for a loving, playful, and people-oriented companion who will make every day brighter, Van Gogh is ready to paint himself right into your heart. 💕🐶

More about this rescue

The mission of the Raise the Bar-N Foundation is to rescue, care for, and provide compassion to abused and neglected animals, educate the community about responsible pet ownership, and provide opportunities to children and adults with disabilities. We strive to give the voiceless a voice.

My husband and I have been rescuing for years. We also do a great deal with the autism/special needs community. We are hoping to save more animals and help build bonds between animals and children with disabilities. My husband is a firefighter and ex-professional hockey player. I am an expert working with children with disabilities, especially autism. I am passionate about giving the voiceless a "voice".
