Meet Arrow – A Gentle, Easygoing Husky Looking for His Forever Home
Arrow is a 1-year-old Husky with a friendly personality and a calm, approachable nature that makes him easy to love. He’s social with both people and other dogs and has shown himself to be a great companion on walks — he walks well on leash and enjoys getting out to explore without pulling or constant fuss.
Arrow has a sweet, attentive demeanor and connects quickly with his people. He’s playful without being overwhelming and settles nicely after activity, making him a great fit for someone who wants an active dog that can also relax and enjoy downtime.
He does well with other dogs and would be happy to have a canine friend, though he’d also do fine soaking up attention as an only dog. Arrow is still young and will benefit from continued routine, structure, and positive reinforcement as he grows into adulthood.

Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

We prefer to schedule appointments for meet-and-greets to ensure that staff or volunteers are available to spend adequate time helping you/

Meet the Pet

For safety reasons, please do not reach into kennels or attempt to touch animals through barriers. If you’re interested in a particular pet.

3.
Submit Application

After your visit, you’re welcome to submit an adoption application.

4.
Approve Application

After the application is submitted, we will review it and contact you if your application is chosen.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Once your application is approved, we will contact you to finalize the adoption process!

All that is needed for the adoption application is a

We are located at 1600 Johnson Road in Petersburg, Virginia.
Our hours of operation are Monday - Friday 10am till 3pm.
We are closed Saturdays and Sundays (as well as holidays) but are available by appointment outside of our open hours.
