My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Pork 🐾—an adventurous, playful little explorer with a gorgeous tricolored coat and a big love for life.
Pork wakes up ready to discover the world. Every leaf is fascinating, every toy is the best toy, and every day is clearly meant for fun. She’s curious, confident, and always leading the charge into playtime, whether that means chasing toys, inventing games, or zooming around with pure puppy joy. When the adventure winds down, she’s happy to crash for cuddles and recharge for her next mission.
Why Pork is unforgettable:
• Bold, playful, and full of adventurous puppy energy
• Beautiful tricolor markings with an equally vibrant personality
• Loves exploring, learning, and making people laugh
Pork is looking for a forever home that’s ready for fun, laughter, and lots of puppy antics. If you want a spirited sidekick who turns everyday moments into mini adventures, Pork is ready to join your journey.

Go meet their pets

While we are a foster-based animal rescue and all of our dogs are in foster care, we do have a cat adoption space at our new Adoption & Wellness Center in Chaska. We also partner with local retail locations like PetSmart Richfield and Chuck & Don's Chanhassen to feature adoptable cats at their stores.

More about this rescue

Carver-Scott Humane Society was founded in 1989 with the mission of connecting animals in need with people who care. Our vision is a world where every animal is safe, cared for, and loved.

In 2017, we introduced a new, innovative rescue philosophy based on our Four Pillars: TNR, Serve Where You Save, FurKeeps, and Adopters Welcome. As of 2018, we adopt over 500 dogs and cats into the community every year, with a nationally reported Live Release Rate of 97%. We serve over 1,000 Minnesota pets and their families annually through our surrender prevention program, FurKeeps, aiming to keep pets out of the shelter system in the first place.

CSHS focuses on serving and saving Minnesota pets, and we do not transport animals in from out of state. We do our best to prevent surrender, which creates capacity for us to transfer most of our animals from high-volume impounds and shelters throughout the state. For the past three years, we have transferred more animals from Minneapolis Animal Care & Control than any other animal welfare organization.
