My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Kinder Egg!

Kinder Egg came to ACC as an owner surrender when his family was facing major life changes and could no longer give him the time and space he needed. He's a sensitive, sweet boy who can start off unsure, but once he feels comfortable he shows a very affectionate, playful side. Staff describe him as loose, wiggly, and eager for gentle attention-he enjoys back scratches, takes treats nicely, and loves being close to his person once trust is built.

My Ideal Home

Kinder Egg would do best in a calm, patient home that understands decompression and is willing to let him settle in at his own pace. A predictable routine, quiet environment, and force-free, reward-based training will help him build confidence. He benefits from daily mental and physical enrichment and would thrive with adopters who are home much of the day or have a plan for gradual alone-time, as he has struggled with anxiety and destructive behavior when left alone for long periods.

Good with Kids?

No young children. Kinder Egg is recommended for a home without children under 5 due to fearful behavior and handling sensitivity. Older teens who can respect boundaries may be a better fit.

Good with Other Pets?

Kinder Egg has shown mixed, tense reactions to other dogs and would do best as the only pet or with very slow, managed introductions. He has no known history with cats.

Leash Manners

Kinder Egg generally walks nicely on leash and can move along with little tension. When stressed, his body language becomes low and cautious, so calm handling and confidence-building walks are important. A front-clip harness and positive reinforcement will support continued progress.

Overall Health

Healthy overall. Previously treated for kennel-related illness and mild issues, now resolved. Neutered and comfortable at this time.

Behavior Determination

Level 2 - Kinder Egg needs a patient home that understands fear-based behaviors and separation anxiety. With structure, enrichment, and time, he has shown the ability to relax and bond closely with his people.

Other Fun Facts

Kinder Egg loves gentle affection once he feels safe-he's known to stretch out happily during back scratches and bounce over for attention. He's a soft-hearted dog who's just waiting for the right environment to let his personality shine.
