My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Beary

Beary is a sweet, good boy who loves spending time outside, playing fetch, and chasing squirrels (though he’s more about the fun of the chase than the catch!). He used to roughhouse with a shepherd and didn’t mind being tossed around during play—he’s gentle and easygoing like that.

He is crate trained, house trained, and leash trained, making him ready to settle right into his new home. He enjoys people and has a medium energy level—happy to go for walks and play, but also content to curl up on the couch and relax.

Beary can be dog-friendly as long as his playmates aren’t too overbearing, but he is not good with cats. Sometimes he gets a little nervous, but he just needs reassurance and love. Right now, he sleeps peacefully in his crate at night.

Located in Houston, TX, and can be transported to most states for a $300 fee.

More about this rescue

Hi, I am the founder of Waiting Under the Willow Foundation, also known as W.U.W.F. We work hard at trying to find homes for dogs that are homeless or scheduled to be euthanized at Harris County Animal Shelter. There are so many dog out there that are so loving and deserving of a good home. My hopes is that more people will open their hearts and homes to some of these sweet dogs❤️. Rescue dogs make the best pets!!!
