My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hades is a domestic medium hair black male who is approximately 2 years old.

Meet Hades, a handsome and affectionate young boy with a big personality to match his striking good looks. He is a sweet cat who enjoys attention but can become overstimulated easily, so he does best with an adopter who can read his cues and gently redirect or distract him when he’s had enough. With a little patience and understanding, Hades shows just how loving he truly is.

Hades is extremely food motivated and always on the prowl for treats, dinner time is his absolute favourite part of the day (very relatable). Using food, treats and interactive play is a great way to build trust with him and help keep his mind busy. He’s clever, curious, and thrives when given positive outlets for his energy.

Hades would do best in a home that can provide structure, enrichment, and respectful handling. He has so much love to give and will make a wonderful companion for someone who appreciates his boundaries while enjoying his sweet, fun-loving nature. If you’re looking for a charming black cat with personality and heart, Hades might be your perfect match!

He would likely do best as the only cat or with another cat or dog friend who understands boundaries, with a proper slow introduction.

Hades is neutered, fully vaccinated with RCCP and rabies, FIV and FeLV negative, microchipped, and on parasite prevention. His adoption fee is $300. To adopt, please submit an adoption application found in the drop down menu on our website.

Additional adoption info

Most of our cats live in foster homes. Some are available to meet at satellite locations such as Pet Valu and Ren's Depot. A few foster homes are available to meet and greets at their home, or we also do meet and greets at request at our shelter prior to adoption. Most of these results in same day adoptions, and only take place after an adoption interview.
