My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet A.C. Slater - the handsome black kitten with leading-man looks and a cool, easygoing vibe. He's not the chaotic, bouncing-off-the-walls type...he's more of the "I'll play, but let's keep it classy" kind of guy. Think charming, athlete energy, but with plenty of naps, thoughtful toy batting, and dramatic lounging poses like he's waiting for a laugh track.

Slater enjoys gentle playtime, quiet hangs, and being admired for his sleek good looks. He's sweet, a little goofy, and just the right mix of playful and chill - the perfect companion if you like your kittens fun, loving, and not constantly doing parkour off the furniture.

If you're looking for a handsome gentleman with a subtle sense of humor and a big heart, A.C. Slater is ready for his starring role in your life.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1941 by the third female graduate from Cornell University’s College of Veterinary Medicine, SAVE is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit animal shelter dedicated to protecting the health and welfare of homeless companion animals in the greater Princeton area and beyond. Through six core programs of Rescue, Shelter, Health and Welfare, Spay/Neuter, Foster and Adoption.

The SAVE shelter facility has the capacity to house upwards of 100 animals at a time (approximately 75 cats and 25 dogs). The shelter exceeds no-kill benchmark standards and ensures that adoptable animals facing adversity are given a lifeline, a chance to flourish, and the promise of a better tomorrow.
