My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Candy Cane 🍬🐾

Candy Cane is a petite brindle and white terrier mix with a gentle heart and a loving spirit. At 1½ years old and just 8 pounds, she’s a tiny girl who is still learning that the world can be a safe and happy place.

When you first meet Candy Cane, she can be very shy and scared, needing a little time to feel comfortable. But once she gets to know you, her true personality shines—she becomes outgoing, affectionate, and eager to be surrounded by your love. She enjoys being close to her people and truly blossoms with patience and kindness.

Candy Cane is still working on potty training, and she’ll do best in a home that understands she’s learning and is willing to guide her with consistency, patience, and care.

Candy Cane shares an incredibly special bond with her other half, Bella Clause. She is loving, protective, and deeply connected to Bella, and the two bring comfort and confidence to one another. Because of this strong bond, Candy Cane must be adopted together with Bella Clause—they are inseparable.

If you’re ready to open your heart to a bonded pair full of sweetness and potential, Candy Cane and Bella Clause are waiting to find their forever home together 💕🐶🐶
👉 Look at Bella Clause’s bio on her profile to know more about her.

More about this rescue

CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
