My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What's your New Year's resolution? To get more exercise? Take more walks? Have more fun? I'm Deandra (but I answer to Dee Dee) and I can help you with that.

I’m a five month old puppy and I’ve had all of my puppy shots, I’m spayed and I’m microchipped. They say I'm always on the go. Maybe that's because I hurt my leg when I was little and spent weeks and weeks resting and healing and saving up my energy. Now I'm making up for lost time! I run and play all of the time; especially if there are other dogs to roughhouse with. Sometimes we share toys or play tug of war. I also know how to fetch!
Afterwards I take naps, and by evening I'm usually ready to snuggle with my foster mom and watch a little TV.

If I sound like your type of girl to get out and walk more, hike more and snuggle more, you can call or text Deb at (928) 853-1046.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

If you are interested in one of our animals, please fill out an adoption application, located on our web site here: http://tubacityhumanesociety.org/adoptions/ . There is more information about our adoption process, including our adoption fees, on that page. In general, fill out an adoption application, and then photo or scan it to our email at tubacityhumane@gmail.com, and that enables us to start a conversation with you. From there, the foster would usually set up a meet and greet with the animal you are interested in. We like all family members to meet the animal, and any other pets as well. We do require a home check. Adoption fees do not cover our veterinary cost, but do help us to continue our work. All animals are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Most animals are also microchipped.

Go meet their pets

Arrangements can usually be made to meet most of our adoptable animals in Flagstaff. The process starts by filling out an application and returning it to to us through email. Some animals are fostered in Tuba City or other locations. We do attend some adoption events in Flagstaff.

More about this rescue

We are a small rescue/foster group located in Tuba City, AZ, on the western Navajo Nation. We do not have a facility. We have two main programs: rescue of homeless animals in need, and a low-cost spay/neuter program for the public. We rely on donations to continue our work.
