My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Kendra 🤍🐾
Shepherd/Husky mix • Gentle heart • Quietly wonderful

Kendra is a beautiful shepherd/husky mix with a soft soul and the kindest eyes. She’s a sweet, sensitive girl who approaches the world gently and thrives in calm, reassuring environments. Kind and loving by nature, Kendra is the type of dog who bonds deeply and gives her heart fully once she feels safe.

She would be happiest in a laid-back home where life moves at an easy pace. A fenced yard would be ideal for Kendra, as she’s still learning her leash-walking skills and would love a safe space to explore, relax, and build confidence.

Kendra is ready for a home that will offer her patience, compassion, and understanding—and in return, she’ll give you quiet devotion and endless love. If you’re looking for a gentle companion to share peaceful days and tender moments, Kendra may be the perfect match for you. 🐶✨

More about this rescue

A New Leash on Life has a goal of saving all the adoptable pets about to die in the municipal shelters of Alabama until we become a NO KILL state. We rescue, provide veterinary care, provide a foster home or adoption center spot, and find adopters who are good matches for homeless dogs and cats...AND horses, pigs, rabbits, and any other animal who needs our help. All animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, testing (HW for dogs, FIV/Felv for cats), and whatever else they need before adoption.
