Meet Dottie!
A 19lb, 4-month-old APBT who is full of puppy curiosity and gentle energy. She loves being held close and feeling safe and secure—snuggles are her happy place. When Dottie’s not cuddling, she’s busy exploring the world with wide-eyed curiosity and classic puppy enthusiasm.
Treats are definitely the way to her heart, and squeaky toys are her favorite kind of fun! She’s still very young and learning, and she hasn’t had much experience on a leash yet, so she’ll need a patient family ready to help her build confidence and skills as she grows.

We are the all admittance shelter in Johnson County, we are not a 501c3, but a county run facility. We try our best to place each and every animal. We also house all animals picked up by Animal Control therefore; we intake a high volume of animals each year.
