Cosmo is a charming and social bunny who came to us as part of a large group of rabbits and is now ready to find his next home. Cosmo is confident, curious, and always out and about, eager to see what’s going on around him. He’s a laid-back guy who truly enjoys the simple pleasures in life—lounging comfortably and munching happily on his favorite lettuce are high on his list! His relaxed and friendly nature makes him a joy to be around and a great candidate for someone looking for a bunny with an outgoing personality. Adoption fees for rabbits is $75 for a single or a pair, and include veterinary exam and spay/neuter.
As most of our small animals are in fostercare, if you're ready to adopt now and want to learn more about this pet, the best way to start the process is to call us (413-781-4000 x 1) or email us at springfield@dakinhumane.org. If you already have a cage, please send a picture of your cage when you inquire.

Rabbits typically live 8-10 years.
Housing requirements: Most housing sold at pet stores is too small for small pets. They are going to be spending most of their lives inside their cage; your housing must be as large as the below or larger (bigger is always better!) in order to adopt this pet.
-For rabbits we recommend x-pens/C&C type caging. Expect to spend around $100 on housing.
-Minimum requirements for enclosed spaces is 10 sq. ft. for 1-2 rabbits.
-No wire floors please - they are bad for bunnies’ feet

Rabbits are a social species, meaning they usually enjoy the company of their own kind. If there are two names listed together (eg Peanut Butter w/Jelly), that means that the two animals are a bonded pair of friends, and must be adopted together.
-Got a single at home you’re looking for a friend for? Any animal listed alone on our website is a single and a great candidate
-A new friend will need a separate cage until friendship has been established
-Our rabbits are all spayed/neutered at 4 months of age; as long as one or both rabbits are neutered, mixing genders is okay.
-It takes time and patience to let the rabbits make friends with each other.
