My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am bonded to Jasper and we must go home together.

Meet Keane! 🐾💙

Keane is a sweet 3-year-old cat with a gentle soul and a quiet charm. Though he’s feeling scared and overwhelmed in the shelter environment, his soft heart really shines once he feels safe. Keane is shy at first, but he truly enjoys gentle pets and calm, reassuring attention from people he trusts.

Keane is bonded to his best friend Jasper, and the two would love to find a forever home together. He would do best in a peaceful, patient home where he can settle in at his own pace and feel secure. With time, love, and a calm environment, Keane has all the potential to blossom into a devoted and affectionate companion.

Keane is ready for a forever home where his sensitive nature will be understood, his bond with Jasper honored, and his quiet sweetness cherished every day. 🐾🐱

More about this shelter

The Gulf Coast Humane Society is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization dedicated to serving the animals and community of Southwest Florida. We receive no federal, state, or county funding, nor do we receive financial support from the Humane Society of the United States. Instead, our lifesaving work is made possible through the generosity of individual donations, grants, bequests, and community fundraising efforts.

As a no kill shelter, Gulf Coast Humane Society is committed to providing compassionate care for unwanted, neglected, and abandoned animals. We never euthanize due to space constraints or the length of time an animal has been in our care. Our mission is to give every animal the second chance they deserve in a safe and loving environment.
