1 year old | 35 pounds | Meet Garland!
Garland is a young, sweet, and playful pup who didn’t have the easiest start in life—but you’d never know it by how quickly she’s learning to trust and love. When she first arrived, new things like the house and even the TV made her nervous. Since then, she has made incredible progress and continues to gain confidence every single day.
Garland is all puppy and full of happy energy! After a good play session with her toys or a run to burn off energy, she’s perfectly content to settle down and relax at your feet. She’s also just discovering how wonderful belly rubs are and is learning to enjoy all the affection she deserves.
She loves chasing a ball and enjoys enrichment games like playing “find it” with hidden treats or using her nose to sniff out goodies tucked inside a tied-up towel. Garland is doing well with potty training and is currently working on crate training with great success.
Garland absolutely loves other dogs and would likely thrive in a home with a confident canine companion to help show her the ropes. She adores people and is incredibly sweet, but because she can get very excited and loves to jump, she would do best in a home without small children.
Whoever adopts Garland is going to be one lucky family—she is overflowing with love, joy, and puppy charm and is ready to give her whole heart to her forever home. bcaaofnj.org
