My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Piglet is the definition of a rock-solid companion--steady, loyal, and overflowing with love. His smile says it all, and the moment you meet him, you'll know he's something special. Piglet adores everyone he meets and gets along beautifully with dogs, cats, and even horses. He's house-trained, crate-trained, and the PERFECT size for any home, making him as easy to live with as he is to love. Whether it's a walk, a road trip, or simply lounging by your side, Piglet is always ready to join in, bringing joy and gratitude to every moment. What truly sets Piglet apart is his unwavering loyalty and grateful spirit. Found as a stray in the freezing rain, he refused to leave his friend's side until help arrived--a devotion that speaks volumes about the kind of companion he'll be. Piglet has so much life and love to give, and he's waiting for the person who will cherish him as much as he'll cherish them. He's absolutely perfect: loyal, loving, and ready to brighten every day in his forever home. The adoption fee for all of our dogs is $300.00 and that includes their vaccinations, spay or neuter, rabies and microchip. To start the process please visit our website and fill out the adoption application (www.dfwrescueme.org) and from there the foster family can answer any questions and arrange a time to meet. Pig is participating in the DFW Rescue Me guest dog program, so ongoing care and custody is provided by her foster, not by DFWRM.January 6, 2026, 8:11 pm

More about this rescue

Our goal is to save dogs at the local shelters in the Dallas \ Fort Worth Metroplex from euthanasia and adopt them to the public. We spay / neuter these dogs as well as provide all necessary medical care. We also educate the public about responsible pet ownership. We love dogs and our goal is to reduce / eliminate euthanisias being done in this area by shelters due to overcrowding.
