My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sherbet is a 2 year old boxer and pit bull mix who arrived at the shelter after living his life on a chain. He came to us underweight with visible scars from fly strike, yet despite everything he has endured, he has a bright, hopeful spirit and a deep desire for connection.
Sherbet is energetic and playful and loves any opportunity to stretch his legs and enjoy freedom. Once he gets his energy out, he leans in for affection and clearly wants to build a bond with the people around him. With consistent care and structure, he is already showing how much potential he has to grow into a loving companion.
At this time, Sherbet is still learning to feel comfortable around other dogs, especially while on leash. We are working with him on confidence building and positive exposure so that he can better understand how to navigate these interactions. With patience, training, and the right environment, we believe he will continue to make progress.
Sherbet is looking for a home that can give him the stability and kindness he has never known. He deserves a chance to thrive indoors with a family who will guide him, continue his training, and appreciate the loyal, affectionate dog he is becoming. If you are ready to help a deserving young dog start a new life, Sherbet would love to meet you. Email adoptpetersburg@gmail.com
