My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Godzilla! 🐾🩶

LARGE and in charge — just like his name suggests! Godzilla is a 2-year-old gray boy tipping the scales at a solid 16 lbs of handsome feline confidence. This big guy knows exactly who he is and isn’t afraid to show it. He’s a nice boy who enjoys attention on his terms, and when he’s in the mood he can be affectionate, charming, and downright lovable.

Godzilla has a bit of an attitude sometimes (we like to call it personality!), so he’s looking for an experienced, cat-savvy home that understands boundaries and respects his signals. Because of this, he would do best in a home with kids 12+ who can give him space when he asks for it and appreciate him for the independent king he is.

He enjoys lounging, observing his kingdom, and accepting affection when he decides it’s time. In the right home, Godzilla will be a loyal, entertaining companion full of character and charm.

Godzilla is ready to rule his forever home — a place where he can be adored, respected, and celebrated for the big, bold boy he is. 🐾

More about this shelter

The Gulf Coast Humane Society is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization dedicated to serving the animals and community of Southwest Florida. We receive no federal, state, or county funding, nor do we receive financial support from the Humane Society of the United States. Instead, our lifesaving work is made possible through the generosity of individual donations, grants, bequests, and community fundraising efforts.

As a no kill shelter, Gulf Coast Humane Society is committed to providing compassionate care for unwanted, neglected, and abandoned animals. We never euthanize due to space constraints or the length of time an animal has been in our care. Our mission is to give every animal the second chance they deserve in a safe and loving environment.
