Hi! I’m Twix, Bloopy’s brother. If you look at my picture you’ll see that I’m as sweet as my name! I love to plop onto my foster mom’s lap for a belly rub. Maybe I’m part dog! Anyway, Bloopy and I are BFFs and want to stay together. We have similar personalities, the same likes (good food, soft beds, cuddling with mom, tall cat trees, friends and toys) and dislikes (trips in a cold car in the winter, interrupted naps, bad tasting medicines). Our idea of kitty heaven on earth is a warm home together with people who love us, good food, a few toys, a cat tree and a window with a view of the birds and squirrels. We promise to love you back and give you lots of kisses, keep your lap warm and make you laugh!

Cat adoptions are held at the PetSmart at 115th and Metcalf in Overland Park KS every Saturday from 12:00 to 3:00. Cats available for adoption every day at PetSmart in-store cage area.
Dog adoptions are held at the PetSmart in Olathe KS at 119th and Strang Line, every Saturday from 12:00 to 3:00.

The Heart of America Humane Society is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit organization helping to place shelter and foster animals into permanent homes in and around the greater Kansas City metro area.
Our goal is to save and improve the lives of Kansas City's homeless companion animals by promoting responsible pet ownership. The Heart of America Humane Society (HAHS) partners with the Lee's Summit Animal Shelter (Lee's Summit MO) and KCK Animal Services (Kansas City KS) to increase pet adoptions into responsible, permanent homes.
Background
Our organization does not have a permanent facility or paid staff, so many of our adoptions take place at PetSmart stores and occasionally through other event venues. Some events raise awareness and bring in donations for our animal support efforts, while others help acknowledge and show appreciation for our own volunteers (who perform all duties outside of their regular jobs).
