My name is Bloopy, kind of a silly name I know but if you see my baby picture you’ll know why! I was so tired I could barely stand up so, of course, someone took that embarrassing photo!
Well, I’m a big boy now and everyone tells me I’m quite handsome with my soft and shiny black fur coat. My brother Twix and I have grown up together in a foster home and now we’re ready for our next adventure, finding our furever home. We came from a large litter so we love other cats. We’re still nervous about dogs but we think most human kids are great. Sometimes they’re a little loud but they pet us so nicely! Twix and I are both good eaters and usually not too messy. We always use our litter boxes and our scratching posts and pads. We’re pretty good for nail trims too! Our favorite kitty games are follow-the-leader, and chase and steal the toy. Throwing things in the air is fun too. Sometimes we even play fetch!
But seriously, we need a furever home together, with a warm place to sleep, something to eat and drink, scratching stuff, a few toys and lots of love and lap time. We’re really easy going and will adapt to your schedule with ease. Are we a good match for you?

The Heart of America Humane Society is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit organization helping to place shelter and foster animals into permanent homes in and around the greater Kansas City metro area.
Our goal is to save and improve the lives of Kansas City's homeless companion animals by promoting responsible pet ownership. The Heart of America Humane Society (HAHS) partners with the Lee's Summit Animal Shelter (Lee's Summit MO) and KCK Animal Services (Kansas City KS) to increase pet adoptions into responsible, permanent homes.

Our organization does not have a permanent facility or paid staff, so many of our adoptions take place at PetSmart stores and occasionally through other event venues. Some events raise awareness and bring in donations for our animal support efforts, while others help acknowledge and show appreciation for our own volunteers (who perform all duties outside of their regular jobs).
