Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Marshall and Millie are the unlikely pair you didn’t know you were missing in your home! Marshall (Orange) is a 3 year old absolute lion of a special needs sweetheart who found a best friend in 5 month old Millie (dilute tabico) who has the patience of a saint and a heart of gold!
This unlikely pair will fill your home with snuggles, purrs, and endless laughter! Marshall and Millie met while in foster care and created a bond quickly- Millie entirely undeterred by Marshall’s unique strut, rambunctious play style, and occasional tendency to fall over at random ha!
Marshall is clearly incredible handsome and regal in looks, but is even cuter with his wobbly strut! Marshall has cerebellar hypoplasia, or more commonly known as wobbly cat syndrome! Not to worry; he is not in pain, and the neurological condition simply affects his balance from the underdevelopment or malformation of the cerebellum, which is responsible for coordinating movement. He can live a full and happy life like any other cat; with some easy modifications for his safety and to help him get around a bit easier such as carpeted floors and blocking steep stairs. Marshall would be considered "moderate" with his CH. You can see videos of him getting around on his fosters social media pages; kittyfosterroxanne on instagram or Kitty Foster Roxanne MN on facebook to better view his capabilities!
Marshall absolutely lives for scritches and brushing and snuggles! Daily grooming helps him keep his coat clean and untangled; and he is the very best patient giving the worlds best air biscuits for all of your help! He has favorite wand toys and he loves to do a big pounce, but don't tell him it’s not quite as a big of a leap as he thinks it is ha!! I hope you love to have conversations about your day... because Marshall would like to discuss it with adorable little chirps, especially before canned food time! Mostly he just loves love and any amount of attention you will give him, but doesnt mind self entertaining. You will be rewarded with big purrs and the ability to get your cute aggression out in his ginormous lion mane; he is simply one of a kind!
Millie has a unique dilute tabico coat meaning she’s light grey tabby with peach undertones throughout. Millie is filled with all things sweet and curious with a ton of energy and a fun confidence that everyone and everything is exciting! She adores watching snow fall and curling up for a snuggle. She has a huge purr and LOVES a good wand toy so she can show you her flying leaps! Millie is truly a gem. And watching her befriend Marshall and engage play with him is truly something special to behold.
Marshall and Millie would do best in a somewhat quiet, stable home who have lots of love to give and time to spend as both kitties truly love their people! Marshall cannot do stairs except for a couple to help him get to a couch and his litter box would need to be on one level for him!
Marshall needs a bit of time with brand new people and new situations; and needs time in his favorite "safe space" cat box to observe and come out to visit at his own speed. He is exuberant in everything he does, but has never gone too far with his play or excitement and doesn’t have a mean bone in his body.
Marshall and Millie are two absolute sweethearts who have a real affinity for WWE style wrestling and hilarious quirks that are sure to keep their forever humans laughing all day long. If you'd like your very own cat with the mane of a lion with a silly little lady bip bopping around him with her huge expressive eyes, consider meeting these two! They are very excited to meet you! -------- There is no guarantee of age and breed as a rescue animal's history is unknown. All ages and breeds are best estimate.
Adoption fees include a mandatory sales tax of 7.525%.
All cats have received comprehensive veterinary care and tested negative for feline leukemia and FIV unless otherwise stated. Cats are up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations and have been spayed/neutered, treated for fleas and/or ear mites, de-wormed, and microchipped. Please note there may be additional follow up visits and boosters that are not covered by Pet Haven after adoption.

Pet Haven is a foster-based rescue. Our animals live with foster families until they are placed in permanent homes and their foster families get to know the dogs and cats learning important information about the animals. For example, the foster family will know if the dog or cat is good with other animals or children, and will have a good idea of what kind of training, attention, and special needs the pet may require. This makes our foster families great resources for potential adopters!

Our Vision
A Minnesota where all pets live in safe, loving homes.
Our Values
Excellence in service and care; community; integrity; innovation; perseverance; compassion; a rewarding place to volunteer
How We Help
Spay/Neuter Initiative Program: Providing support to end pet overpopulation in Minnesota
Owner Surrender: Providing a safe haven for pet owners
Foster: Committed to finding forever homes for cats and dogs
Phoenix Fund for Special Needs: Providing veterinary care for animals in need of healing
What We Do
We help dogs and cats find homes with loving families through foster-based care. Every dog and cat lives with a foster family until they find their forever families. We provide all of their basic needs including proper food, veterinary care, behavior training, and supplies.
Through in-home fostering, we learn about each animal’s temperament, personality, likes/dislikes, and any medical needs. With this first-hand information, we can then find the right family for each dog and cat.
Our volunteers also educate the public on responsible companion animal care and represent respect for animals at all times. Whether we’re working with prospective new families, meeting people at public events, or socializing with friends and family, we encourage others to view and treat their pets as members of the family. We are their guardians, and they depend on us for companionship and care.
We spay/neuter prior to adoption.
We microchip all our Pet Haven Pets and remain as a secondary contact.
We make sure all pets are up to date on required vaccinations
We test for Heartworm and Lymes in all our dogs and are transparent in the results and treament
We test for FeLV/FIV and are transparent in the results. We believe that cats who test positive still deserve a chance at a quality home.
We do not euthanize animals unless they have untreatable health or behavioral conditions that deny them an acceptable quality of life or makes them a serious threat to people, other animals, or themselves.
How We Operate
We rely on adoption fees, tax-deductible donations, grants, and special events to keep our rescue operating. Our staff, Board of Directors, and volunteers have provided the passion and commitment to keep Pet Haven a safe haven for animals for almost 70 years.
We are committed to preventing pet homelessness through the SNIP Grant. Since 2005, we have granted more than $240,000 to organizations in Minnesota to support spay/neuter initiatives.
