Blink is a 4 month old male, black American shorthair cat. From his early days as a small kitten, he mastered the slow blink love language, without any coaxing. He is a charming, sweet, little boy, full of love and affection, with lots of kitten energy. He is a curious little sort who like to sit up like a squirrel on his haunches and look around. When curious, he frequently he rises to full height on his feet, standing straight up in their air, holding holding his balance up to 15 seconds or more. Just like a little meerkat!
He is full of kitten energy, easily entertained, and loves to cuddle in for snuggles and pets. Occasionally, he asks for kisses, too. Blink is easy to purr and show his pleasure at your attention.
It is important that he be adopted into a forever home with other cats and/or kittens for so that he has the companionship he is accustomed to. He comes from a feral colony of cats, although he has no feral charcteristics and is fully domesticated and socialized. With his outgoing and playful nature, he would be would be very lonely and unhappy without a companion.
He has not been around dogs, but since he is so young, he would most likely easily adapt. He is neutered, up to date on his shots and boosters, is microchipped, and has a clean bill of health.
Adoption Information
To ensure safe and successful placements, we require:
All cats adopted through **Silverton Cat Rescue** are spayed/neutered, FIV/FeLV tested, microchipped, treated for fleas and worms, and have received age-appropriate vaccinations.
We are **not first-come, first-served**. Our goal is to match each kitty with the *purrfect* home.
Silverton Cat Rescue is a volunteer-run **501(c)(3) nonprofit**, and all cats live in foster homes. Please be patient as we coordinate meet-and-greets with our fosters.
Why We Encourage Kitten Pairs
Kittens are social and do best with a feline friend. A buddy helps with confidence, proper play, and emotional well-being. We encourage adopting kittens in pairs, or adopting a single kitten only if you already have another young cat at home.
Fun fact: **Two kittens are often easier than one!**
