Hi, I’m Frankie! 🐾 I’m a sweet & happy pup with black & white markings...kinda like a cow (whatever those are), which I’ve been told are very cute. Scroll through my pictures and you'll see what I'm talking about!
I was born in Alabama, but I really don't remember much about my life before I found myself in an animal shelter...not good! Fortunately, I was cared for at that shelter by a group of prison inmates who helped me learn patience, routine, and how nice it feels to be around kind humans. Rumor has it I was their favorite (of course!).
Things really started looked up when I was selected (paroled?) to leave that shelter for a better one down south, and now I’ve made my way north to Minnesota to stay with my foster family (and their Warrior Dog!) I really enjoy all the love and attention they give me, but I’m still on the hunt for my forever home with a family I can call my own.
I’m a very curious guy—I like to check things out and see what’s going on—but my favorite thing in the world is snuggling. I love taking really long naps right on top of my humans. I’m warm & soft...and if you have a lap, I consider it an open invitation. Sitting down? I’ll be there in seconds.
I’m affectionate, cozy, and always ready to share my heart (and my naps). I’m more than ready to settle into a home where I can cuddle, explore, and love my people forever.
Could that home be yours? 💙 PS---you may have noticed that I'm listed as "not housetrained" above, but that's only because I'd never been in a house before just a few days ago. My foster-dad says that I'm "more housetrained than not" at this point (my foster-sister is a good teacher), and I promise you...I'm working really hard on it! -------------------------------------------- All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spayed/neutered if the dog is over 6 months of age at the time of adoption.
Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.

The mission of Warrior Dog Rescue is to save the dogs that are homeless, left abandoned in shelters, are surrendered by their owners, those that are being abused and neglected, and those that are left wandering. We are committed to providing them the medical care they need, helping them to overcome their past by providing them loving, educated foster homes, finding them their perfect forever home by means of a thorough adoption process, and guiding them on their journey into their new life. They all deserve a “good dog life… every single one of them.”
Warrior Dog Rescue will be a model rescue by partnering with overcrowded shelters that need to make room for more abandoned dogs. We will continue to educate others about responsible dog ownership in regards to safety, spay/neuter, nutrition, obedience, socializing, abuse, and neglect. We acknowledge that we will have a role in this industry to take the lead on providing awareness to others in the community and across the country. Every dog will know what it feels like to be loved till the end of their life.
