My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

“Life is like a box of chocolates—you never know what you’re going to get.” 🍫
— Forrest Gump

With Boubou, though? We do know exactly what you’re getting… and it’s all the good stuff. 💖

Boubou is a darling 2-month-old mixed-breed puppy, currently weighing about 12 pounds and made of pure cuteness, playfulness, and love. When fully grown, she’s expected to be a medium-sized girl (45–60 lbs)—just right for both adventures and cozy cuddle sessions.

What’s inside this sweet little “box”?
✨ Days full of fun
✨ Puppy adventures
✨ A perfect cuddle buddy
✨ A heart that keeps growing

Miss Boubou loves playing with the other dogs in her foster home—most of them are around 60 lbs, so big dogs are definitely her vibe. She does a great job reading their cues, respects their boundaries, and knows when it’s time to settle. She also enjoys exploring the outdoors (everything is new and exciting) and is happy to play on her own with her toys and bones when the other doggos want to chill.

As a young pup, Boubou is still learning about the world and will thrive with a family ready to gently guide her as she grows—celebrating her wins, laughing at the puppy moments, and helping her become the amazing dog she’s meant to be.

Boubou is spayed, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. Her adoption fee is $275.

Go meet their pets

Where are you located?
Pawsitive Tails does not have a physical location. All of our dogs live in loving foster homes throughout the Kansas City and Topeka area. This allows fosters to get to know each dog personally, so we can find the very best home for them.

What are your hours?
As a foster based rescue, every person with Pawsitive Tails is a volunteer. Because we do not have a facility, we do not have “open” hours but can be contacted between 8am and 9pm.

Can I stop in to visit dogs and play with puppies?
No. We require an approved application to be on file before meeting our dogs/puppies. In addition, our dogs live in foster homes, so we must work around the foster parents’ schedule.

More about this rescue

Pawsitive Tails strives to be something different in the animal adoption community. We simply want to help dogs and puppies find new homes by matching the right dog to the right family.

Pawsitive Tails is a not for profit organization focused on finding forever homes for dog and puppies. We are not a shelter and we do not have a facility - all the dogs in our program live in foster homes.
