My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Hatch Date: approx 2023

Meet Arie (male) and Blue (female). These two complement each other in every way. They are a bonded pair of budgies, having lived together for two years. The two are chatter bugs and cage clowns. They love climbing around their cage, playing with their toys and talking to themselves in the mirror.  Their striking pastel colors look lovely together.

These two aren’t hand-tamed, but they are gentle and, with patience, show promise. They are on a diet of seed and pellet and are being introduced to some fresh foods. They love millet treats.

If you are looking for a pretty pair of active budgies, consider adopting these two.

The budgies have been disease tested for PBFD and Chlamydia.

Arie and Blue are being fostered in Bristol, PA.  They will require in-person visits before adoption. We do not ship our birds.

For the Love of Birds is a network of dedicated foster homes throughout NJ and Eastern PA.   As our adoptable birds are living in private volunteer homes, we only allow approved adopters to make the required visits. If interested in adopting Arie & Blue, please visit our website ftlob.rescuegroups.org Please read our adoption policies, fees and complete an adoption application.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The adoption procedure begins with completing an adoption application and returning it to us. We will check your references and then call you for a telephone interview. While we check your references, we will ask that you review an educational power point presentation. After your application is approved, it is our policy that you visit with the bird(s) three times to have multiple interactions with them and give you time to consider the adoption and get ready for your new family member. There is an adoption fee for each bird.
