My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Twinner was brought in by her previous owner on January 18, 2026.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Twinner, a beautiful soul looking for a patient heart to help her shine! Twinner arrived from a busy home with many other feline friends, and while she's still learning that people can be pretty great, she has already shown us some wonderful social indicators that her sweet personality is just waiting to blossom. Twinner is a sensitive girl who thrives on peace and quiet. She is looking for a calm, steady home where she can settle in at her own pace. Because she loves a predictable routine, she'd be happiest in a household with children over 8 years old and without any dogs. In her previous home, there was a bit of feline drama with one cat being a bit of a bully; since we aren't sure if that was Twinner or a roommate, she'll just need a very slow and supervised introduction if you have other cats at home. To help her feel like the queen of her castle, she'll love starting out in her very own "confinement room" filled with cozy spots to hide in and high perches where she can survey her new kingdom. If you have a quiet home and a lot of love to give, Twinner is ready to start her next chapter with you! With a little time and some gentle encouragement, this special girl is sure to become a cherished member of the family.

Shy/Fearful Cat:Twinner requires a virtual behavior consult, please watch THIS video to learn more about them.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
