My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Oakley!

Oakley is that cat. Soft meows, nonstop purrs, and main-character energy wrapped in the coziest snug-bug package. He’s sweet, loving, and obsessed with lap time, so much so that he’ll gently place his paws on your knees like, “Hey, is this seat taken?” before hopping up. Polite king behavior.

He’s a professional biscuit-maker (blankets, laps, vibes), with purrs so loud the vet literally couldn’t hear his heart through the stethoscope. Windows are his Roman Empire. He struts along the sills all day watching birds, cars, and neighborhood drama! At night, he pushes the blinds aside and meows impatiently until you come admire him while he waits for you to come home.

Oakley isn’t really into toys, but he’s all about people. He loves being held, rolling over for pets, exploring new rooms, and being wherever you are. He eats a little dry food but absolutely demolishes his daily fish mousse like it’s a luxury meal (because it is). Oakley would be an awesome family cat (children over six please), but would do just fine with one or two special people! It's currently unknown how he'd do with cats, but he may do fine with a cat-savvy pup in the home.

Additional adoption info

Adoption fees help to cover the cost of the care the animal has received during their time with us, including spay/neuter, vaccines, microchipping, deworming, and flea treatment and basic foster care.

All potential adopters complete an application and are screened using a standardized series of questions by a trained adoption counselor. If the application and screening are satisfactory, a qualified adopter can complete a contract, pay the adoption fee and take the animal home.
