My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Kit is a beautiful orange and white tabby with a sweet, friendly personality and a gentle presence. She came to us from a criminal neglect case in Juneau County, where she was living in extremely difficult conditions. Despite her past, Kit has shown nothing but kindness and affection.

This lovely girl enjoys attention and is happy to spend time with her people, whether that’s lounging nearby or soaking up some pets. Kit’s friendly nature makes her a wonderful companion, and she does well with other cats, dogs, and kids, making her an excellent fit for many types of homes.

Not only is Kit affectionate, but she’s also truly stunning—her markings and expressive face are sure to catch your eye. More importantly, her loving personality will win your heart.

Kit is ready to leave her past behind and start a new chapter filled with comfort, companionship, and love. If you’re looking for a gentle, beautiful cat who will fit right into your family, Kit may be the one for you. 🐾🧡

All our cats are spayed/neutered, dewormed, FELV tested, microchipped, receive prevention while in our care, and up to date on age-appropriate vaccines. If you're interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at https://www.sftsrescue.org/adoptable-cats

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process prioritizes accessibility, equality, and inclusivity. An application can be completed online or in person, ensuring accessibility for all potential adopters. Additionally, our application is available in Spanish to cater to a diverse range of applicants.

Once an application is submitted and approved, we facilitate adoption meet-and-greets on-site at our shelter's adoption center. This allows potential adopters to interact with the animals they are interested in and make informed decisions about their adoption.

Overall, our adoption program is designed to make the process as smooth and inclusive as possible, ensuring that each animal finds a loving and permanent home.
