Hi! My name is Tina and here is a little more about me:
My Journey I come from a colony/community cat background and am learning all about the comforts of indoor life. Each day I grow more confident and curious as I settle into a safe, loving environment.
My Social Life Other cats? I do wonderfully with my brother, Spud—we’re a big source of comfort for each other, especially in new places. I’ve also done well with other cats once I realize they mean no harm. After a short adjustment period, I’m happy to play and relax alongside my feline friends. Dogs? I’m not sure yet how I feel about a canine friend Kids ? I have never met any mini human and may appreciate a their company after some time
My Personality I may seem a little shy at first, but once I feel safe, I turn into a total lovebug. I enjoy lounging on couches and beds and will start purring the moment you pet me. As my confidence grows, my sassy and playful side really shines!
I Enjoy… Watching birds and observing the world around me Wand toys and interactive play Wrestling and cuddling with my big brother, Spud Keeping an eye on humans as they go about their day (reading included—I might be learning too!) Showing off my silly little stomping walk when I’m feeling extra cheeky
I’m Not a Fan Of… Loud noises can be a bit overwhelming for me—I’m still a tiny girl adjusting to indoor life and appreciate a calmer environment.
What Makes Me Special My curious, spunky attitude sets me apart, along with my extra-long tail and an adorable patch of freckles on one ear. I’m full of personality once you get to know me!
My Perfect Home My ideal home would be with my brother Spud—we cuddle endlessly and balance playtime with cozy snuggle sessions. A home with another friendly cat could also be a great fit. Since I’m still young, I may warm up to children or dogs with time, as long as they’re respectful of my boundaries and give me space to feel safe.
Young kittens are adopted in pairs or to a home with another playful kitty.

More about this rescue
Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
