My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Mulder and here is a little more about me :

My Journey
I was pulled from a high-kill shelter and given a second chance at life. Now I’m safe, thriving, and ready to find my forever home.

My Social Life
Other cats ? As a young kitten, I must be adopted in pairs or to a home with another playful kitty.
Dogs ? I’m not sure yet how I feel about a canine friend
Kids ? I’m extremely friendly and love being around people. I do great with humans of all ages—especially gentle mini humans! I’m playful and active, but I also love to be held and snuggled. I truly enjoy being part of the action and don’t like feeling left out.

My Personality
Playful, cuddly, and adventurous. I have a confident, outgoing nature and a lot of love to give. Whether I’m zooming through the house or curling up in your arms, I’m happiest when I’m close to my people.

I Enjoy…
Chasing string and feather toys
Running through my tunnel at full speed
Snuggling, being held, and spending time with my humans

I’m Not a Fan Of…
Being shut out of a room! I like knowing what everyone is up to and prefer to be included in all household activities.

What Makes Me Special
My adorable pointy snout gives me a uniquely expressive look that matches my curious and affectionate personality.

My Perfect Home
I’d thrive in a home with lots of love, attention, and playtime. A playful companion would be wonderful, and a family that enjoys an affectionate, social cat will be a perfect match for me.

More about this rescue

Smittens isn’t just another cat rescue.
We are a coalition of volunteers with a spay/neuter mission, dedicated to helping both stray and owned animals in the greater San Diego area get fixed, receive veterinary care, and whatever else they may need! Smittens works with shelters and other rescues to route cats to proper vet care and eventual homes, and we take in stray cats who need help getting off the street. We also support TNR for feral cats, and assist cat and dog owners to get their own pets fixed and vaccinated at a low cost.
