Cosima & Hecate are two 4-month-old female dilute torbies who came to the shelter as strays. Cosima has more orange on her face while Hecate has more white. The world is still a pretty big, scary place for them, so they’re shy and cautious with new people and new situations.
Once they start to feel safe, their sweet sides shine through. Both girls enjoy gentle pets and will happily purr when things are calm and familiar. They’re still working on confidence and handling, and they’re not comfortable being picked up just yet—progress will come with patience, consistency, and kindness.
Cosima and Hecate get along well with other cats and would likely do well in a home with a friendly feline role model. Because they’re timid and quiet, they’ll need an experienced cat person who understands shy kittens and can make sure they don’t “disappear” into a house while they’re settling in.
These girls are not overly bonded and can be adopted together or separately. With time, gentle handling, and a safe environment, Cosima and Hecate have all the potential to grow into loving, trusting companions for the right home. 🐾
Please apply for one or both of them at https://www.gloucestercountynj.gov/FormCenter/Animal-Shelter-5/PreAdoption-Application-50
