What we know: 3 siblings transferred at approximately 1 year, 3 months old from Finney County Humane Society in Kansas (1M, 2F). Siblings were surrendered to the KS shelter in March 2025 and had still not been adopted through them by January 2026. They were set to be euthanized due to length of stay and were tagged to come to CPR the following day.
From the foster: Be my Valentine! Puppy 141 has been in a shelter since she was 3 months old. She's just learning to trust and how to be a dog. She's already made great strides in just a few days in a home with a family. She's a smart girl and she's figured out how to use the doggy door and to potty outside. She's good with kids and other dogs. When she's outside she loves to run and play, but when she's in the house she's a total snuggle bug. She just needs to love and be loved by someone. Colorado Puppy Rescue is a 501(c)3 no-kill rescue for young puppies. We accept puppies from kill-shelters in southern CO, NM,TX, OK and KS. Most of our puppies are mixed mutts under 12 weeks old, some are as old as 6 months. We do not have a shelter. All of our puppies stay in foster homes so the only time they are available for adoption is at our adoption events. We average 20 puppies a week and update our website with available puppies Friday afternoons.
