My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoption Fee: $475

When available, all animals are fixed in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped!

What we know: 3 siblings transferred at approximately 1 year, 3 months old from Finney County Humane Society in Kansas (1M, 2F). Siblings were surrendered to the KS shelter in March 2025 and had still not been adopted through them by January 2026. They were set to be euthanized due to length of stay and were tagged to come to CPR the following day.

From the foster: Cute Cora---All she wants is love, a couch and crinkle toys.

Cora is still shy meeting people. She prefers her foster mom but does greet her foster dad.

Cora plays well with our 1 year old puppy but doesn't like it when he goes near her safe spot (kennel). Cora sleeps through the night in her kennel and will lay there to rest during the day if she doesn't have access to the couch (LOL).

Cora is doing well with potty training. She doesn't tell us when she needs to go out but will happily doe her business when you take her out.

Cora has done well with walks, she has good leash manners. She is timid around the big world she hasn't had a chance to explore yet but doesn't shy away.

She is working hard on her fear of stairs.

Cora will do well in a home with mom as her best friend. Cora does nibble when she plays with her foster mom, so I would recommend only older children in the house.

Cora has soooo much love to give a furever family that will help nurture her. You will see Cora blossom into a loving, loyal family member.

More about this rescue

Colorado Puppy Rescue is a 501(c)3 no-kill rescue for young puppies. We accept puppies from kill-shelters in southern CO, NM,TX, OK and KS. Most of our puppies are mixed mutts under 12 weeks old, some are as old as 6 months. We do not have a shelter. All of our puppies stay in foster homes so the only time they are available for adoption is at our adoption events. We average 20 puppies a week and update our website with available puppies Friday afternoons.
