How Harvey arrived:
Harvey was brought in by a community member on January 28th.

Why Harvey is the one for you:
Harvey is a very typical cat in all the best ways-independent, curious, and quietly confident. He likes to observe the world from a safe distance, often pretending not to care while absolutely caring a lot. A little shy by nature, Harvey takes his time warming up, but once he's comfortable, his gentle presence and subtle affection make him impossible not to love. He's the kind of cat who shows up softly, sits nearby, and somehow makes the whole room feel calmer.

At SDHS:
Harvey has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. Harvey is now ready for their new home!

Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.
