Frankie takes an interest in everything you do and would happily stay by your side all day if he could—always checking in to make sure you’re comfortable. He’s incredibly well-mannered, too. Every day when I get home, he patiently waits about 30 minutes for me to come out to the catio and greet him. If I’m running late, he’ll gently start meowing as a polite reminder that it’s officially his turn for attention. 🙂
He’s also very much a cat’s cat. Frankie currently lives in a catio with ten other cats of all ages and personalities, and he gets along beautifully with everyone. He’s remarkably empathetic—if he hears another cat crying (like during medication time), he’ll rush over to help, gently pawing at me as if to say, “Hey, stop hurting my friend!” It’s impossibly sweet and melts my heart every single time.
When it comes to affection, Frankie’s love language is full-body cuddles. His favorite pastime is laying on your chest, making endless biscuits, and showering you with head bumps until you’re completely melted. Once he settles in, he has absolutely no intention of going anywhere.
Currently in foster care in ORANGE COUNTY. Meet & greets / pickup will be coordinated upon approved application & homecheck video. Foster-to-adopt is always an available option and recommendation.
All Del Gato kitties are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, tested for FIV/FeLv, dewormed, and flea treated prior to adoption.

Del Gato Rescue is a small 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue based in Los Angeles, CA. We are a handful of volunteers who work normal jobs by day and rescue cats on nights & weekends. We receive countless daily requests from the community for assistance with cats and kittens found outside in need of rescue.
We focus on rescuing friendly cats from the streets, getting them healthy and vetted in foster care, and finding their purrrfect forever home! We prevent hundreds of cats per year from entering our city shelters and being euthanized.
We also TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) and vaccinate unadoptable/feral street cats, which we believe is the only solution to the root cause of the feline population crisis.
If you'd like to volunteer with us, fostering is a great way to help our cause, and it allows us space to save more kitties off the streets.
If you are unable to foster, we are also always looking for help with transportation to and from vet appointments.
Please send us an email at delgatorescue@gmail.com to be a part of our rescue community. Thanks for your support!

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit volunteer run cat rescue whose mission is to prevent shelter impounds. Los Angeles is filled with high kill municipal shelters, and the chances of any cat getting out alive are slim to none. Our volunteers work directly with the public to rescue abandoned, homeless, injured/sick community cats off the streets of Los Angeles, place them into foster homes, rehabilitate them & get them UTD on vetting, and finally place them into loving forever indoor homes.
