My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

‘DALLAS’ THEMED PUPPY:  Approx. 2-3 months old / Approx. 10 lbs. & growing

Hi there! I’m one of the adorable “Dallas” themed puppies who thankfully all made our way to Mostly Mutts, where we’ve been growing, thriving, and having lots of fun in our foster homes.  Now we’re each ready to find our furever homes with wonderful families of our own!

• OTHER DOGS/CATS/KIDS:  I love my siblings and would likely enjoy another dog to play with in my new home if you have a nice dog that would like a puppy friend, so let’s meet! / Cats unknown. / I love the 8- and 12-year-olds in my foster home!  I’m still in the puppy mouthing stage of life, so know that I’ll need monitoring with younger children and best no toddlers that may fall on me or that I may bump over.  Let’s meet!

• PERSONALITY/ENERGY LEVEL:  Overall, I’m a happy, inquisitive, and a curious pup.  I’m still figuring things out –  I’m sweet, generally pretty chill, and I really do love to play.  Sometimes I just need a little help figuring out how to jump into the fun, and I do best when someone (or another dog!) starts the game and keeps it going.  If things slow down, I might wander off and let out some vocalizations to let you know I’m feeling left out.  I’m also the most talkative of my siblings, and when I’m playing, I’m happy to show off just how loud my bark can be and how playfully fierce my growls sound – all in good fun, I promise!  Since I’m more vocal, best no apartment or condo type home please. / Energy level: Approx. 6-7 though this could change as I grow.

• SKILLS/CRATE/POTTY:  I’m looking for a family that will teach me everything I need to know to grow up and become a wonderful adult dog – including starting to train me not to chew on you and the kids so we’ll all be happy – so get ready for some training with your new best friend as everyone loves a well-mannered dog. / I sleep with my siblings in a playpen with a crate inside of it to help me start getting accustomed to crate training.  I do well with the set-up, but I’m sure there will be an adjustment as I settle into my new home without my siblings. / I’m at the beginning of my potty training and I am potty-aware!  When I’m taken outside, I reliably go potty, and indoors I usually use newspaper or pee pads.  I’m taken outside right after coming out of my pen to help me learn a good routine, and when I go potty outside, I get a treat reward – which makes learning even more fun and rewarding for me.

• LIKES/DISLIKES:  I love attention and playing, and I will happily finish a good chewy treat – Nylabone Nubz are a favorite!  I’m the least destructive of my siblings, but I really like having a good selection of toys and chewy things around to choose from.  When the sun is shining, I’m happy to run around the yard and get my zoomies out with my siblings and family. / I’m not super excited to go outside in the cold weather but I do it for going potty, and since I’m still so young, it’s hard to think of anything else I don’t like yet, though I’m sure I wouldn’t enjoy it if I didn’t get enough love, attention, exercise, and training.

• MEDICAL:  I've started my puppy shots, but you will have to finish these for me as I grow.  I’m also micro-chipped and spayed.

If you’re ready for the fun and excitement of having a puppy as well as the training commitment, then let’s meet!  My adoption fee is $299.00, and I’m located in Kennesaw, Ga.

Mostly Mutts Animal Rescue & Adoption's Adoption Process

Our facility is currently open to the public Monday-Saturday, 11-3. We welcome you to come meet our adoptable Mutts & Kitties! Please keep in mind the following:

Many of our adoptable Mutts & Kitties are in foster homes, so please call 770-272-6888 to find out if the pet you are interested in is at our facility. With an approved application we can set up meet & greets and adoptions with a pet in foster care.
We are not yet up to full ‘staffing’ following the pandemic, so there may be times when we cannot do meet & greets or process an application on the spot.
The best first step is to submit an application via www.mostlymutts.org.
Our adoption counselors are happy to help make a great match for you and your family!

Adoption Info:
Please submit an application through our website at www.mostlymutts.org if you are interested in one of our adoptable pets. We are receiving a large volume of applications and processing may take a little bit longer than normal. We are grateful for your interest, and an adoption counselor will be in touch as quickly as possible. Please give us 48 hours to respond before sending a follow-up email.

Don’t see a dog or cat for you on the website? Submit the application anyway!! We are taking in a large number of dogs and cats weekly. Due to the overwhelming demand, many are matched with approved applicants prior to being posted online. Our adoption counselors will be happy to help make a great match for you and your family.

Thank you for your patience and support!

Who We Are:

Mostly Mutts is a 501(c)3, non-profit organization, staffed almost entirely by volunteers!

Our Mission is to help the Unwanted, Abandoned, Abused and Sick animals in our local counties. We fulfill this mission by working closely with County Animal Control Facilities, saving those who are in imminent danger of euthanasia, or those with needs which require specialized vet care that many other groups will not consider: major orthopedic issues, heartworm positive treatment, skin conditions, neglect and abuse

Please visit our website, www.mostlymutts.org for additional information about adopting a new best friend!
