My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Midnight, a gorgeous black kitty with a sleek coat and classic “house panther” style.

And yes, the name is Midnight. Because of course it is. Naming a black cat Midnight is basically a universal tradition, right up there with calling an orange cat Sunny and a tabby Tiger. Somewhere, a committee of cats probably decided this was the standard, and Midnight is proudly keeping the legacy alive.

But do not let the famous name fool you. This Midnight is one of a kind, with plenty of charm, plenty of personality, and the kind of presence that makes a room feel instantly cooler. If you are looking for a stylish companion with a timeless name and a whole lot of black cat magic, come meet Midnight and see if the match is meant to be.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
