My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Manon, a gorgeous black kitty with a velvet coat, bright curious eyes, and the kind of quiet star power that makes you look twice. Manon is the sort of cat who can turn a simple stroll across the room into a full runway moment.

The name Manon sounds elegant and a little mysterious, which feels exactly right for a black cat. Since arriving, she has been on the shy side and is still taking it all in. She is the kind of girl who likes to observe first, pick a cozy spot, and decide when it is time to come say hello.

With a little patience, soft voices, and the freedom to approach at her own pace, Manon has all the potential to blossom into a wonderful companion. If you are looking for a sleek kitty with a beautiful name and classic black cat magic, come meet Manon and see if she is your perfect match.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
