My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bolt, a Shasta County cutie with a big heart and a gentle, soft-spoken vibe. Bolt was raised with her mother and siblings, so this kitty grew up learning all the important life skills: how to play fair, how to share space, how to communicate like a pro, and how to perfect the art of a well timed cuddle.

Bolt is still on the shy side right now, especially in a new environment, and may prefer to observe you first before jumping into the spotlight. A calm approach, quiet voices, and letting Bolt choose the pace will go a long way. Once this kitty feels safe and settled, expect that sweet personality to start peeking out more each day.

If you are looking for a tender young companion who has been lovingly raised and just needs a little patience to feel at home, come meet Bolt and see if this Shasta County star is the one.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
