My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Beaux and Binx, a bonded pair who do everything as a team, including being a little unsure about new people at first. In a busy shelter setting like the SF SPCA, these two prefer to observe from a safe spot and take their time deciding when it feels okay to come closer. They are not hiding because they are uninterested. They are simply careful, and they feel safest when they have each other.

Beaux and Binx are the definition of “slow and steady.” With patience and a calm approach, they begin to show their sweet side in small, meaningful ways: a curious peek, a relaxed posture, a quiet moment of play, a little more confidence each day. In a home environment, with consistency and space to settle in, they have all the potential to blossom into affectionate companions.

These two are looking for a peaceful home with humans who understand that trust is built, not rushed. Soft voices, gentle routines, cozy hiding spots, and interactive toys will go a long way. If you have a big heart for shy cats and you love the idea of giving a bonded pair the safe landing they have been waiting for, Beaux and Binx are ready to meet you, together.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
