My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ian 💙
Standard Blue Merle | Border Collie / Aussie Mix
Ian is a smart, affectionate, people-loving boy who absolutely adores attention and seeks out affection whenever he can. He’s friendly, communicative, and happiest when he’s right by his humans’ side.
This guy is SUPER smart and eager to learn — he already knows sit, stay, and down, and picks up new skills quickly. He loves to play fetch, thrives on interaction, and needs an active home that can give him both physical exercise and mental enrichment.
Ian walks on leash but does tend to pull, so continued leash training will be important. He’s still warming up to the crate, but will happily go in with the help of treats.
Dog introductions should be slow and thoughtful while we continue learning his preferences. Ian enjoys playing with other dogs and would likely do best with a more submissive dog who still enjoys play. Because of his higher energy level, it’s important to monitor interactions and watch for stress cues in multi-dog households.
He’s good with kids, but due to his size and enthusiasm, a home with children 12+ would be the best fit.
Ian is looking for a patient, active, and loving home where he can decompress, build confidence, burn energy in healthy ways, and soak up all the affection he’s been missing.

Go meet their pets

After being approved by a team member, you'll be able to schedule a meet and greet with the pup that best matches your needs.

All of our pets are in private foster homes and many times the meeting will happen in a safe public location.

All animals are available to begin their home trials once the meeting has concluded and the rescue agrees to allow the pet to move forward to this stage.
